Silo and flat roof were leaking so the refurbishment plan was….
o removed the existing torch on membrane, and replaced it with liquid polyurethane. The left over bitumen primer was on the substrate so Universal Primer 2K was used.
The joints were treated with Hyperseal Expert 150.
Hyperdesmo HAA is a single component polyurethane liquid membrane for waterproofing and protection based on Humidity-Activated-Accelerator technology, it is available in three colours which assists with multiple coat application. The full system has excellent weather and UV resistance. Hyperdesmo also has thermal resistance, the product never turns soft.
ADYE grey top coat was used. The light colour reflects much of the solar energy and so reduces the internal temperature of the silo considerably.
The whole system has a 10 year guarantee.
